[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_empty_space height=”22px”][vc_column_text]I have seen many dental websites that think they have it all done right and they tick all the boxes as they think it looks aesthetically pleasing and they need worry about nothing else. However many I see are sadly ALL WRONG and even the most aesthetically pleasing websites still have many issues that should be addressed.

One of the main issues I consistently see is having all treatments on one page. This is probably one of the worst mistakes that dental practices make and the design companies who make these websites should advise clients accordingly of this HUGE MISTAKE.

Sure, I understand that not all dental practices want to spend money creating a website in the first place as they cannot see the benefit and when told how to do it properly they run a mile, thinking JUST of the expense and nothing else. This is a defeatist attitude and should be avoided at all costs, so let me explain why your treatments should all be given their own page, hint it’s got something to do with SEO.

Firstly the point of creating the website is to help people who are actively looking for a service or a product in YOUR area. Local search is a huge part of the Google daily searches and users who look for local services are more likely to call and become your customer.  It’s not rocket science is it? However for many the thought of a website means nothing to them nor does getting new clients mean anything either. For those practices still living in the dark ages, good luck to you all as your days are numbered. Your expensive yellow pages ad does not get looked at any longer and people today use their mobile or desktop devices to search, period!

Your dental practice offer say 10 different treatments, example, teeth whitening, veneers, implants, root canal fillings etc, you get the idea and you have them all featured on just one page. While this may read well for the existing customers who have already been on your dental website you are making it very difficult for new clients to find you and it is definitely NOT recommended for the following reason.

To create the proper SEO for your treatments, yes there’s that word again SEO, you need to create a separate page around EACH of your treatments with the correct SEO to describe FULLY what the page is about by having the correct meta description and the correct title tags for search engines to find you, thus giving you best possible opportunity to be found. The description that you see in the search results pages can only be read to 160 characters by search engines and trying to describe all of your services on one page in 160 characters or less is practically impossible and is a huge mistake.

This will give an additional page that can be indexed by Google and this can be found in addition to your home page, as getting more than one listing on page 1 is always something you should strive to achieve for your dental website.

A shot gun approach to your SEO efforts is not something that I recommend to anyone. So take care over each of your treatments or services and getting them ranked in the search results in their own right will give a much better user experience and will likely give you a much better chance of converting them to be your client..more on the best way to set up a website coming soon…[/vc_column_text][vc_cta_button call_text=”We can create a Dental Website for any size of practice, BIG or Small!
